Would I get away with 235/40/17 888's on the std Impreza rim on track?
I've looked online and apparently the maximum tyre width for 7.5" rim is 235 but iirc the 888's are relatively wide, they certainly appeared wider on my Evo in comparison to the same size Pilot sport 4's that I fitted afterwards.
Any issues on track?
Only reason is there's a decent set at a good price. _________________ ND spec'd Evo 8

I ran them on a 8" wheel and they were slightly too big for that, 8.5" would have been ideal IMO.
I wouldn't put them on a 7.5" wheel, would imagine it would be like driving on 4 packets of freshly whipped Angel Delight. _________________ MD Racing

8" rim is ideal for a 235 tyre, Newage JDM Impreza's used to come with 235 tyres on an 8" rim |
