Gonna get a wheel for my PC (probably a Logitech G29, unless someone has a Fanatec CSL Elite wheel & pedals they want to sell me for £200 Laughing )

So just looking for some real world feedback on the sims.

I'm probably gonna stick with single player mostly, so that pretty much is ruling out iRacing.

But what are everyone's thoughts on:

rFactor2
RaceRoom
Automobilista
Assetto Corsa

So, I got a Logitech G29 wheel & pedals and a Logitech Driving Force gearstick (on Amazon at the minute as a bundle for £180 here)

First impressions:

Wheel feels nicely put together.
Metal paddle shifters that have a nice click action.
In built mounting system is really simple to use and seems to hold the wheel in place on my desk pretty decently.
The force feedback on the wheel has a good kick to it (haven't played with any of the settings)

Pedals much the same, plastic feels decent, good amount of pressure needed to properly actuate the brake pedal.

Shifter - meh. Same nice in built mounting, but feels much more flimsy than the wheel. The "leather" on the gearknob itself feels paper thin and I don't expect it to last. The gaiter feels better though.
Extremely short throw.

As for the sim, I went for rFactor2, seemed to have pretty good reviews online in regards to it's physics but lacking in the graphics.

It's also a really easy game to mod in extra cars & tracks (lots on the Steam workshop and loads available online)

Got Knockhill modded in and had a wee play with a Clio Cup.

Good fun and shows just how rusty I am (although, the difference in not getting all the feedback from the car through my body is strange and will take some getting used to)

The G29 is a great wheel. I have a T150 and upgraded pedals but have had a shot of the G29 and loved it - especially the wheel.

Iím just on PS4 sims now. Occasionally iracing when they email a deal.

I would give iracing a try. It is a bit expensive but good cars and tracks.
