re-fresh on car started.

Planned rebuild all pretty much everything, so no rush to get the car out for start of year.

Susp, brakes, engine, diffs, gearbox all to come out and get stripped down

Suspension - Nitron R3. Been on the car for a few years now and are still like new once cleaned. A few wee scuff here and there (I'm not a gentle driver Laughing ). Whilst back at Nitron we'll pester them about remote rather than piggyback canisters. It would make life much easier when adjusting



Front hubs *running larger hatch bearings*


Joint seems fine, but for the sake of ~£30 I'll just replace the bush


Clean up of susp to check for any damage. (some on top mount bolt guides, and a plastic spring cup)

Front brakes....

Gen II KSport 8 pot calipers (356mm kit) - run AP 32x355m discs

The pistons seemed a bit sticky towards end of last year, no doubt the lack of use not helping. Calipers cleaned up pretty well with ZERO corrosion. Had a bit of a mare getting 2 button screws out of one caliper (sliders for pads) and had to get some help from Simon at MB for 1, then NE Brakes for the final one (drilled out!).

Popped pistons out, some with some scoring - I've cleaned/polished them up a bit and happy enough to re-use.

1 damaged o-ring and one pretty slack, so a few parts on order.

Rear brakes...

rebuilt a few of these over the years so no surprises. Ordered a rebuild kit without the pistons as again, they werent too bad - a light polish up removed some scoring on the surface.

New rings, seals, bleeds etc and a general attack of the outside with a wire drill bit - not going to paint as that just adds another layer to either fall off or retain heat Laughing
