Have wanted to get involved in track days and competition since before I could drive.
It's taken me just the 20 yrs to actually be in a position to do it.
Absolute novice, first ever track day was in February, so steep learning curve. Apologies if I've held anyone up
I've entered SLS this year. Not been to RA yet as I'm 200+ miles away, but the car was RR'd and weighed by the previous owner, so unless those figures are very wrong - I'm bottom end of Class E (About 187bhp and approx 1060kg car + me), I don't expect RA rolling road to show much different.
Got a little stripped out MR2 Mk3. Really lacks raw speed - I don't think it's topped 100mph yet on the circuit. Certainly the GPS hasn't yet.
Anyway always open for tips and advice |

Hiya,
Re the power and speeds on track...
The Minis are doing around 94-98mph on the main straight. Thats with about 125-135bhp at the engine and 1075kg MIN weight - so prob about 125bhp/ton (Class G)
I cant see it having that power if its not topping 100mph.
Whats the standard power?
Whats been done to engine? _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

Wiki shows they are 1800cc with 138bhp as standard. I'd be surprised if the car had 185bhp without a lot of engine work (50bhp gain on an NA engine is massive) _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC
