As above, anyone attended one of these? Having never been on track before I was wondering if they are worth it, or am I best just getting myself on there and seeing how it goes? Laughing

Fee (on here) did a women only day the day she picked up her Impreza. The track was really quiet. I think they are pretty good. No one was pressuring, no really fast cars to look out for etc.

I think they'd be a good introduction to trackdays at knockhill. The SIDC days are quite good too.

You just have to use your mirrors a lot and remember to let faster cars by on the straight... dont slow to let past on corners as it tends to cause more confusions than anything. If some one is constatly behind you and your going 100%, move over to the right (indicate) on the straight and wave them by. Pull in behind them and try to follow for a few laps to see if you can pick anything up from them... better lines/braking points for example. Dont try and litterally follow them liek fee has done in the past Laughing DOh... straight off the track and into the kitty litter

I've only ever driven AK's old corsa round Knockhill but it was great fun, having the track a bit quieter would make you get more confident on the track for busier events so i couldnt see it being a bad thing Smile

I did one of these as well....got it for my xmas and chose to take my car on instead of using one of the knockhill ones.
I found it really handy....the instructors really do help you get the lines/corners right and with it being so quiet I didn't feel pressured to put my foot down straight away...which is what I usually do!

it's how I got started back in 99 (in a 72 stage2 GT6 I migh add).. really handy and KH is a great track to start with as it demands constant attention..so you're constantly in a braking, gear, turn-in, apex,wind-out, full power.. sort of situation Smile
