My 106 Rallye.
Competing in the SHCC in 2005 in what was pretty much "fast road" spec.
And currently...
It's kinda in bits just now but hopefully it'll be a competitive car in the road saloon class of the SHCC.
I dont want to give to much away incase my competitors read all about it.
As you can see i've bought some nice heavy bits to weigh it down.
My new wheels.
I actually had to sell this
to pay for this...
I also bought some go faster goodies for it.
And here's a nice pic of one of my old driveshafts.
I'll post up more pics as the project progresses.

I was hoping for 700kg's but now i've bought a cage it wont make 700kg's... although i've since purchased a f'glass bonnet & bootlid so that makes up almost half the weight of the cage.

Latest news: i've removed the rear beam in order to have poly bushes and new trailing arm bearings fitted and my Proflex rear dampers are going away for a service.
I'm also gonna re route the rear brake pipe inside the car and i may also go for an alloy 2 outlet master cylinder from a ABS equipped 106/Saxo.
2moro's job: refit the rear beam minus dampers. |

Well thats the new/refurbed beam fitted but now i've got the lovely job of fitting new brakepipes all round.
Its good to see it no longer lurking under a cover though.

Believe it or not all that metal is required to be there.
My front bumper received some therapy today.
The reg plate will be going under the nearside headlight.
I got most of my new brake pipe ends flared today and got some braided rear flexi pipes from my pal.
A top tip for anyone thats interested, if your looking for a "T" piece for brake pipes VW Golf's have 2 around the bulkhead area.
I got 2 different types from Persley (local scrappy) today for free... which is nice. _________________ Come play my game. |
