Basically I'm trying to sell my ax hillclimb car but in my opinion the reason why it isnt selling is the fact its an ax!
I have been offered a mint Series 2 106 rallye rolling shell and i was going to transfer all the bits into it minus the cage and try selling it as a very quick road car.
whats your thoughts? _________________ www.chrisknox.co.uk

dont think you'll get any more interest to warrant the extra cost/time
Maybe just reduce the cost of it complete, and in parts. How much in total for the car? _________________ Impreza - building...

putting it in an s2 rallye maybe be a good choice but will involve a bit of time but if it means selling it then may be the best choice.
selling it with a highly tuned 1.6 8v that will beat 1.6 16v will appeal to quite a few people looking for a close to original spec but with more power. have a wee view at the rallye register to gauge if anyone would be interested before u do change it all over? _________________ 1992 peugeot 205 2.0 8v turbo |

You tried it on Pistonheads?
I guess more folk would be interested if it had a 16v fitted, you may need need to repair some doune barrier damage b4 it sells? _________________ Come play my game.

Is the AX shell lighter than the 106 one? Would be a shame to tone down the performance of a car like this just because AX's aren't as cool
Not after anything like this but I'd have it in the AX shell if I was to be different, maybe the price needs adjusted to suit the lower amount of interest, would save alot of hassle.

AX shell is lighter than the 106 shell.
Rule changes for 2010 Scottish speed events means a 1.6 AX can no longer run in the A (road) or B (modified) classes, it'd have to run in the competition car class C0 (saloon libre) which is an unlimited cc class... although i'm sure it'd still be near the sharp end. _________________ Come play my game.

Wow, has it really been 8 years?! Yeah I'll be down at the SIDC day on the 27th, not sure if I'll be running or spectating yet though.
Be good to catch up mate! _________________ www.wallaceperformance.co.uk - 01224 708444 Matty Mapped |
