PC based sims are getting better and better these days as processing power increases. Tyre modelling (the most difficult aspect to simulate) is improving rapidly with the likes of iRacing and NetKar Pro. The developer of NetKar pro provides the software for some F1 teams simulators for example.

Tracks are laser scanned and accurate to a couple of mm these days. Not Knockhill yet unfortunately. Although rFactor has a version of Knockhill which is not too bad.

There are offical series and plenty of well organised leagues, some with live online broadcasts.

Ceratinly a fun way of getting some cheap track time Miles different from arcade games like Forza and GT5.

I find it quite difficult to identify which pics are real in some of Sami's pics and vids!
