Stumbled across this site via knock hill Facebook and the recent posting of the Super lap Scotland updates.
Complete novice level, and only just started going out on track.
Current daily driver is a 95 Rover 220 coupe turbo, Road car in every sense.
Fairly modified from Oe but miles, but still has the luxury of interior, which going by the majority of the examples i have seen is against the norm.
Have attend two open pit days at KH this year, second of which lasted ten minuets before car dumped coolant, more on this in another thread, and also a hot hatch day too, which again lasted even less, at 5 minutes, again before dumping coolant/boiling over
Have also attended the Forge action day at castle combe in september of this year, and a Rover coupe brithday event organised by the Rover coupe's owners club at Curbourgh sprint circuit, again both outings ended abruptly but cooling issues.
Perhaps my car and skills will be frowned upon, but we all got to start somewhere right?
Looking to attend the last hot hatch event at KH this coming December 8th, Reverse direction
Will be the first time i will have been able to test car and see if repairs have been successful
Hope your all still awake and hope to get to know some of you in the near future
Cheers
Greg

Nice looking car
Any ideas on what was causing the coolant issues? Something easy like a blocked up rad/duff thermostat or somethign more sinister like HG issues? _________________ Impreza Race Car - SLS/SMRC

Will be doing a thread on the car kind of a spec/progress thread for you all to chuckle at
but quick taster
Catalog of issues tbh but car drove ok /fine daily, just when you pushed it fell over, i did up and down to midlands numerous times and castle combe, lichfield, KH x 2 each time just waited for it to cool and topped up and then drove home _________________

Welcome!
New diff and sorting out the body roll will help for starters. Looks like the rear is sitting quite low in comparison to the front so might want to look at that to get some more weight towards the front.
No doubt see you at a trackday soon. _________________ MD Racing

yeah the Gaz gha are set a little lower at back than the front
one of those job never got round to sorting
raised the front to clear speed bumps etc and though i cracked height, but after a while the rear just deiced to go south
Cant got too mad with spring rates etc as like i say its my daily for the foreseeable future
that's my excuse anyway, hope i dont sound too much like the noob that i am
Tbh i think the gha's might need a refurb
Me too poor for a quaife
Yeah looking to get some action in before the year end _________________

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right |
