It's just as fast in a straight line, despite being an 'estate car??!!' as my neighbour put it...
And yes, the number is real Smile Smile

You are really replacing the GTR? Can it do 57's round KH though?

yes, it's gone (sniff) and no, I doubt it very much!

I might take it up for a private session, to see just what it CAN do, but the brakes aren't there for extra-fast laps.

Ask Chris White (Chorlton) about RS6's and Knockhill! I think he fried his brakes after about 2 laps of hairpin braking Smile
Not the lightest of pimp wagons, but lovely sounding

Aye I'd forgotten Chris had a 6 too. hehehe I'm not after a track car here. I'm after an icon which I shall lavish with the odd drip of wax even, to keep it nice as the price appreciates.

This one is number 129 of the 999 Pluses they did in 2004. It has a Mlltek exhaust and sounds fruitier than a well made trifle. Has Coillies, arbs, but was put back to stock brakes form the C6 ones it had for some reason, and I've yet to be impressed with them. Some decent pads will pobably help. It weights about the same as the GTR, and in a straight line, well it can olhd it's own. It's a different car, for sure. Can't fit a washing machine in the back of the GTR!

It was tweeked by MRC to about 535bhp and over 800Nm torque. Strangely is not legal to tow with, despite that it could tow a JCB around with the tracks locked. Smile

Ali? Which Ali? Do tell Chris, about your GBox woes.

Funnily enough I'm heading the injuns off at the pass - a slightly borked box is arriving at my house today for me to take to bits and rebuild, I hope.

Sorry Doug I don't know what internal part just that the boxes go.

The chap that runs unit20 (c5 rs6 specialists) frequents the rs forums so I'd suggest starting there & seeing what's what.

Personally I'd avoid hard launches, flat shifts & general hooliganism Laughing

Aha, yes, 'Grizz', or Martin is his name. I'll ping him a PM over on SRS.
Thanks Chris,
Hope to see you soon.

Damn, I'll miss the GTR ripping my face off!
