It's that time of year again - MOT, tax, insurance all due.

I'm almost decided now, to SORN the S4.
Pros:
I can do what I want to the car - strip it out properly, etc.
I don't have to worry about driving it back from the track.
I don't have to keep it so well shod with legal tyres.
I don't have to pay for mot, tax, insurance!

Cons:
I can't pop to the petrol station
I can't hop in and drive it anywhere to test things like brakes
I need a third party to get me to the track

I don't have a suitable tow car so I'm hoping to flat-bed the car to KH or wherever it needs to go. I have a quote for 45 quid each way to KH from my house. Less than 45 for a regular order.

Am I forgettting anything?

Q: Can I still get the car to a garage, using trades plates? Does that work on a SORNd car?

Looking for advice from the hoard of peeps on here who must have done this themselves. Any regrets?

not being able to simply and legally test the car before a trackday - check brakes etc - is a major downside
