I bung the intake and pressurise the whole intake including manifold to whatever boost pressure I am running, big leaks are audible, spray down all joints with soapy water to find small leaks. Amazing the leaks you can get under jubilee clips, injector seats, leaky ISV etc.

Remove and any crank breathers that go into the intake first so you dont pressurize the crank case.

Right, this wee kit worked surprisingly well for the cost.

Got bubbles, quite a few actually. Could see thee pressure dropping rapidly from 1bar. A very audible hiss from the intercooler, damn. Sprayed with Fairy juice and found two cracks, one in the side where the oil cooler is mounted and one in the core of the intercooler itself.

So, 30 minutes later we had this.

Also found a leak in the radiator too. Both custom jobbies so will have to get new ones made up by Pro Alloy. Could take a while.

Checked the logs and it's been running low boost for about 3 months, gradually getting lower. Might help explain my lack of pace a bit Very Happy

So, wasn't much we could do after that so Scotty got straight on to modding the scooters

To be fair, I've not had many 56's recently, a few, when I thought I must have been close to a 55 but must have been lacking grunt on the straights. Sounds weird as you'd think I'd notice it but I didn't really, only the lap times.

Quite a bit of oil on the intake/cool side too. Turbo's probably worn seal due to working too hard so will have to get that refurb'd too.
