It was a perfect day for driving and as always a perfectly organised and behaved crowd of mainly road cars, thanks John.

Thee were quite a few red flags, and quite a few new drivers so I wonder if that is the reason.
After commenting to a passenger how it was mostly road cars and how the racing minis can cause friction and hassles, a racing mini appeared, beached in the post-chicane gravel trap to cause one stop. Perfect!

fwiw I managed the fastest lap this year, down to 61 dead this time and I could have done better on some laps where traffic got in the way.
It was busy, but not maddeningly so.
And best of all, the new monster brakes did their job and no sign of overheating or boiling fluid thanks to the increased size of the discs.
I wasn't using more than 80% of the brakes at any corner eiter and it will take me a wee while to get used ot their stopping power.
The telemetry (and the new tarmac) says I can brake at least 10 yards later into the hairpin. Smile Smile Smile
I'll try to get some vids up later. I'm sure I caught a few spins.

Almost forgot to mention that I set off on my first lap with an unwanted passenger.

20L of VPower!

I drove VERY carefully back to the pits!

Have to agree Jock. Great conditions and all well behaved drivers.
Apart from one car that consistently didn't use his mirrors or move over for a certain Lotus during several sessions each time he was caught. Confused

My day was ended after 2 sessions and only 22 laps.
The clutch blew and couldn't get any gears due to the clutch not releasing.
Did manage a PB and my first ever sub 60 (just)
That was with 3/4 tank of fuel in the car and on low boost, so I can defo go quicker i think. Cool

Here's my last few laps before the checkered flag. My cam battery ran out for the fastest session but this is close....

very smooth driving - makes it look effortless! The white GTR was certainly flying when it passed you.

What sort of lap times were you getting?

Thanks John, the S4 is easy to drive, for sure. None of this throttle blipping nonsense for a quattro Smile
I posted well over a dozen 61.1s and a 61 dead was the fastest, John. My target as ever is the 60s mark, which these new brakes should allow.
If I get brave enough at Duffus, I could managed a 59 I reckon. My 'ideal' lap was 59.6.

I reckon I'd kept Alex in the GTR waiting for half a lap behind me, and yes, with an extra 200 horses over the S4, the GTR does tend to disappear up the straights. I can stay with him round the twisties at least.

also second day out this year for me as timings for TS days seem to clash with every family birthday this year!!!

elise performed well, like doug had the best laptimes i have pulled for far in the elise. Car is still stock bar AD07s and Pagid RS pads. Had a copilot with me who drove as much as me, but the end session i was on my own and driving was spot on as always. Dont think i saw you at all doug!

Managed 2x 63s laps and was consistently hitting 64s. Time for some more driver training I think, sub 60 in a K series elise i think will be near impossible unless i get some more power and 10m braking! Already braking at the last gridlane marker for duffis and after the new tarmac for the hairpin. Although the new tarmac at clarks makes odd noises when i was hitting it, can see a few twitchy moments in my car there.

Will upload video and post, comments welcome!
