Just bought one - will ask Santa for it. If its as good as the video you posted Merlin it will be good enough for me and saves £100 off the Go Pro I was looking at from Costco. |

Ask for a refund if the ad said it was an SJ4000. I got a refund.
Quote: | The camera that has been sent is a an SD28 made by ACMELL (I can tell by the firmware version). The Sj4000 is made by SJCAM. The SD28 is not even a fake or imitation SJ4000, it is a completely different product. While they may look similar and have similar accessories they are very different cameras. The SD28 does not have the functionality of the SJ4000 (or its copies) that I require. The advert you have posted says that the camera is an SJ4000, or at least a fake Sj4000, the camera that was sent to me is neither. I do not want and SD28, please refund my money |
Yeah sorry for the link to the £16.50 camera's But if you get a a proper SJ4000 (£45 ish) you will not be disappointed with it. _________________ Maroon 1993 Honda Prelude - Crystal Blue 2000 Honda Prelude |

So does the £45 genuine sj4000 start & stop recording with the power supply & have the vehicle mode too? Also do you take the battery out & just use power only? I only ask Because if you put the power off would the battery not keep it recording? |

Simmie,
Reading between the lines I think the camera knows when it's powered by the cable and will sense the input dropping and thus stop filming and switch off. Certainly that's how all of my dash cams work too. _________________ Alfa Romeo GT Junior |
