Had a blast of time in my Z4M. Can't believe how good the weather was. Track etiquette was spot on. I was probably the worst behaved with my almighty mega tank slapper out of the hairpin which in turn earned me a black flag. My first in 7 years of doing trackdays! Proud moment Laughing

Thanks, it was just the 1 incident about half way through - where I put a tyre on the grass on the back straight just after clarks and it really shook me up - good to learn from the mistakes Smile

I've done that before... .. and simply drove onto grass at Oulton on a cool lap when paying too much attention to what was coming from behind!

Excellent trackday! Glad I was able to join you all in this event.

I was in the green MX5, was an hour late to the party due to discovering a warped disc at 1am the night before Sad Thank goodness for sunday opening times at EuroCarParts!

Apologies If I got in the way of your runs, your cars are too damn fast! Very Happy

My Dad took a few snaps of the event, i'll post a link to them as soon as he's finished processing.

Highlight of them definitely has to be 1 of the minis railing round a corner on 1(!!) wheel

Thanks for another fantastic day!!

I had an absolutely great time, first time with the R on track and it held its own for the majority of the day... got a good idea where I can make some improvements too. Cool

Tuition before may for me next now Smile

I was in the red Golf R and chatted to you in the pits earlier on in the day. I never noticed you having any issues, but I hope it wasn't anything serious.

Cheers,
Grant

I have some awesome video footage of us having a great wee battle. We were in the red Z4M. Will post it once it's uploaded to SlowTube.

Thanks mate - yes, nice to meet you in the pits mate!

Thanks, it was just the 1 incident about half way through - where I put a tyre on the grass on the back straight just after clarks and it really shook me up - good to learn from the mistakes Smile

Yeah was nice to meet you so I can put a face to the name on here.

Woah, I can see why you might have been a bit shaken up after that, hardly a slow section of track!! Glad to hear that nothing serious came of it though.

Cheers,
Grant

Thanks lads, I do remember having a duel with the Z4M. In fact, through the faster sections I think I marginally had the legs on you, but under braking and through the twisty bits you lads were absolutely all over me... Laughing

I did quite a few laps yesterday, a lot more than I realised actually... which is why I had to go and refuel half way through the day!! Embarassed Laughing

Cheers,
Grant

Were you the new red, clean looking golf R Grant?

You had the legs on me on the straights for sure I only made up a bit through leslies, butchers & the chicane to hang with you for a few laps before it became clear you were faster overall & hopeless to keep pushing the old bus Laughing

It needs a Wee 1.4 Jazz to help it Not With Yours

I thought it had a heck of a lot of grip when he took me out was expecting it to be abit drifty but was very planted.
