Looking forward to dipping my toes in SMRC, if all goes to plan this year. I'll miss the May round of the SLS and might run in pro depending on what the field is looking like. I think it'll be more events, and a 'less serious' approach to things this year. There're some interesting stuff going on with a new engine that might take a while to sort out. _________________ R600 Dubaru

What Class you gonna run in SMRC David? Going to give slicks a try or stay on road legal?
Would also thoroughly recommend doing one of the NSSCC events. There will be quite a few heading down from north of the border this year. _________________ MD Racing

Looks like C, but not 100% sure where it fits in. Probably on road tyres, but I'll see how things go - slicks if I get a chance to get some experience of using them. _________________ R600 Dubaru

I'm not certain that the SMRC event mid-July will happen. It clashes with the British GP which they were always keen to avoid, the Mach Stages Rally and it is in the middle of the holidays. I know I'm struggling for a Team that weekend, and I imagine there will be many others who can't be at Knockhill.
I'm waiting on an update from SMRC _________________ Renny

Thanks for posting these. I'm hoping to be at 3 or 4 of the SMRC weekends as well as the away round for the classics and hopefully Spa in Sept for a 6hrs support race. Looking forward to hearing where the Classics away round is this year. Would gladly head back to Donny! _________________ Alfa Romeo GT Junior |

Just had a quick flick through. Only noticeable changes I can see are:
* Inclusion of Mini Cooper R53 Cup.
* On-board cameras are now mandatory.
* Mazda MX5 Cup removed from regs.
That's about it that I can see. _________________ MD Racing

I did my ARDS medical as part of my employer's medical to save the cost (Nuffield 360+). MSA were quite happy with it, but the Doctor was a bit unsure what standard was required and went with my work medical requirements - full stress ECG etc, and a bit OTT. There was a lot of loose ends to sort out too - eye test etc etc. To be honest, I think paying £60 to a GP would have been simpler and easier and I'll do that next time. _________________ R600 Dubaru
