Bought my puma about 6 months ago, didnt do much for the first 3! pulled the complete interior out and spent hours removing 2 carrier bags worth off sound proofing. I bought a new 6 point safety devices cage and set about fitting it, quite afew hours work! Turning to the underside i removed the fuel tank and pipes, rear axle and shocks, spare wheel and few other plastic "bits". From the back panel to around where the back seats would fit in was all buffed down with a wire cup on a grinder. 2 coats of black hammerite brushed on and it looks good. I got the axle powder coated and fitted new powerflex bushes. On to the front, same again stripping everything off, buffing ALL the floor, chassis legs and a few bits up in the inner wings. The cars surprisingly fresh (apart from the rear arches)for a 2000 so wanted to keep it that way. I picked up some marine spec paint and spayed the floor and chassis legs and up in the wheel arches, brilliant paint to use as you can put on thick coats and it just sticks!
Ive got powerflex bushes to fit to my new front arms and a pair of new v6 mondeo discs and calipers. Ive removed all the ABS and will run with an adj bias valve to the rear. Suspension will be an AVO gtz kit. The engines on my stand ready to get "tweekd" Very Happy its a 1.7 vct but am doing away with the vct and replacing the cams Wink The ECU is gone as well, ive got a DTA one for it. Ive started on the wiring but thats definetly not a strong point of mine! My good friend garry has a quaife for me and we picked a donor box for its final drive, garry as usual had the final drive/gearing calculated so she'l be real nippy threw the gears. In the new year il try and get some pictures up,ihave no idea how to do this Confused i no just the man to ask... if i can catch him in his new "sleeper" saxo... Cool

Sounds like there's gonna be some dedicated blood sweat and tears into this.

Be interesting to see in the flesh.

Im determined to get something done to my puma before i return to work.

The front crossmembers hanging in the garage all painted ready to go, just need to fit the rack and anti roll bar and i can get it back on the car.
some how? writing about it is easier than doing it.
The head will have to come off as well, make a start on getting some
power... the wiring will need to get sorted as well Confused
back to the xmember i think Laughing
once thats done i think il do my front brake pipes, am thinking il mount my T-piece on the servo bracket. saves drilling the bulkhead.
