Looking to make my choice on which tyre to start the season with.

Had decided to go with either Dunlop D03G's or Yoko A048R's.

A lot of people I speak to are suggesting to go for the Kumho V70A's. I'm told by those that used them last year that they're great for grip but less so for wear, so more changes throughout the season.

The Yoko's seem to have rocketed in price so I'm seriously considering these as it will be 750 for a set of Dunlops and 560 for the Kumho's, so I could afford a few sets. Thinking going for a soft/medium split.

Any thoughts? Cheers.

My mate bought the hard ones, much against my advise, and hated them. He was trying them for Crail and they sucked, as I had said they would.

Yeah, hard compound at Crail would seem a strange choice to me.

The tarmac rally/hill climb guys seem to be rating these, in soft and medium guise, so I'm told. Thought that would translate well to circuit racing, perhaps not.

Think That's what they used on xr2 challenge cars until recently, now ao48's might be worth asking someone who raced on both for a comparison
