I see even the spoiler was removed to stop additional drag.
The other ground effect aero clearly was too much for the venerable K series+turdbo to overcome however! _________________ Motorsport Exige Project Thread |

Twice is not an accident.
He needs to stop. Obviously doesn't know what he is doing. |

That's always been my concern with him. He can toast himself as much as he wants, it's everyone else on/around the track that's also in danger that worries me. |
I was there and out on track in the BM when this caught fire. (have it on Vbox vid) It ended the day as we were in the last hr so by the time the clear up had been done we'd have been out of time.
Shame as I never like to see someone's car destroyed this way. I've not read any of this post so cannot comment on anything else I'm afraid. _________________ Paul. |

LOL seen it twice during the day while out on track. once on the end of a tow rope getting recovered and then 2nd time at the side of the track with flames licking from it.
Thought he'd hit the Afterburners to get away but quickly realised it was just the Bunsen Burners _________________ Paul. |

must be pretty hot there.... if its burning through the heat reflective protection stuff.
Havent see any pics/details for the latest fire but I dont think it was anything to do with that view - i.e not the GRP.
Last fire was a fuel leak. Rail/line/fitting failure.
Think this last one was oil related. _________________ Impreza Race Car - SLS/SMRC

Anyone who thinks that exhaust outlet position is a good idea with such a short system on a turbo car needs their head examined frankly. |
