I liked the bit where (presumably) hot oil comes sloshing through the firewall from the engine bay as if nothing was in the way at all.

Fireproof clothing, helmet and belts all being removed whilst no hands on the steering wheel to control a car that's still moving whilst on fire. Brilliant.

Have to assume the buggering about under the front clam and around the front of the car, naturally whilst parked right at the edge of the tarmac on a still live track, was in some way trying to isolate fuel supply.

Track day organisers should include this video in their briefings of what not to do.

i would like to think i would be binning the car as quickly as possible to right hand side (he was not going fast) beside marshall post and getting the fu** out of there with all my fire gear on and pulling fire/electrical cutoff Smile

makes me kinda glad what i track has all that kind of gear just in case. Albeit i wouldn't expect that mare to happen anyhoo. At least he wasnt injured could have been alot worse

built in the true spirit of Colin Chapman, didnt he once use silver painted cardboard to resemble an aluminium firewall. Where was the onboard aff system?? and no balaclava with a open face lid?? as for taking of gear, did he want the 70's F1 driver look. the guy needs to stick to scalextric
