By the looks of it all of his oversteer moments there were driver error... Staying on the brakes while turning into the corner mainly.

More news on PH;

"I couldn't make it up to Bands today, but spoke to Lee a bit earlier to see if he was ok and found out what happened.

Basically, the aerocatches holding the engine cover on failed. (To be clear, they weren't 'real' aerocatches, but copies)

This meant that the engine cover flew off and must have momentarily blocked the airflow to the rear wing, at which point there was major rear end lift, due to the front downforce not being balanced at the rear. This then meant that the back of the car actually lifted off the floor. At that point there was obviously no control of the car and it was game over!!

This was all witnessed by the car following Lee.

Quite a bit of damage mainly front, but also rear. Chassis not inspected yet."

Wonder what his excuse was for trying to take out the legacy in a straight line.

Never nice seeig someone bin thier pride and joy and by all accounts its needing some pretty major work, but he seemingly just carried on regardless ignoring advice all over the place, obsessed with downforce and forgetting its trade off between it and drag...

Good luck to the guy!

Shame after all that work. Wonder if it was an accident or... you wonder with some of the ideas and work something silly might have been done in the engine bay.

You are emicen but if the car is light enough it doesnt make any odds.

So did I.

I didn't agree with a lot of what he was doing - but it was what he wanted to do and at least he was trying to do it himself.
