Was an interesting day with more red flag waving than anything else , few evos went bang , a subaru rolled and the track was shut as much as it was open..

The track was slippy early in the day but towards the end there was decent grip round most of the track, but still easy to lock up going into the hairpin. Think my best time was a low 62's with a passenger , which I'm fairly pleased with considering the conditions and it was the first time I've drove the car in 6 months.

The number of red flags was ridiculous! Also wasn't overly impressed with the standard of some peoples driving.

Track days can generally just be hit or miss

You can get a bad day where a load of people break down, spin off, have issues and then you can get a good one
Red flags tend to come out more often when the track is slippy

It is frustrating though if you're constantly out and then brought back in and feel like you're waiting in a queue all day

I do also find that as the red flags start building up, they happen more frequently. Everyone gets frustrated, the track gets busier as everyone is queuing up and then as soon as the lights go green everyone goes out gung-ho and next thing you know there's another flag

The driving standard on hot hatch days is nothing like TS days.

Saturday's driving standard were ridiculous, literally driving the cars like they just stole them. However thank god for once me and my car were event free 👌👍

I agree the TS days are normally a much better standard, I was just glad Sat was an open pit if it was Sessions it would of been a totally wasted day.
I think alot of guys were using it as a test day as alot of BMW compacts out and minis. There was also alot of people not wanting to move off of the dry line which made passing hard.

I would agree a lot of bad driving at one point a Subaru estate tried to pass me threw the shicane while I was stuck behind the red tvr it was very close I was ready to cut over the grass to save him smacking in to me
then and low and behold I'm sure it was the same Subaru which ended the day 30 mins early as ended up on its roof.

but I must say I had electrical problems twice felt terrible for the rest of the drivers as red flag came out but both times I managed to get well off the track and waited about 20 mins each time some 1 had crashed so never really stop anything so not bad I guess.
But had a good day after the teathing problems.
