Any thoughts/experience of the 2.0 BiTD 180bhp engines? Are they strong enough and reliable?

Real world issues with a LWB? I'd always thought SWB, but seen a nice LWB.... how much of twat is it for general day to day living with it? It looks a bit.... er.... long Laughing

I am on my second 180.

First I ran for just over 100k in 3 years and never had any problems. Second is my current Sportline, this time DSG which is just over 10k miles and again faultless so far! My van has always carries around 500kg in tools plus most the time it has 5 men in it too! Its a cracking engine and pulls well.

As for LWB V's SWB, its about 400mm longer I am sure. Only time it could be an issue is if you cant park Wink

In the back doors I have a shower tray, Eberspacher miniwash, 7k watt genny & storage for wheels/tool box/jack and seats n shit.

Up front I have a sofa bed/table/22" TV-DVD/microwave with oven & grill/coolbox/overhead storage and night heater.

I know 40cm doesn't seem like a lot...I'm just not wanting to go back to having to push the trailer in and out of the barn Laughing

Being able to reverse it in and drive it out has made my life so much easier!

Something worth noting;
If you plan on using ferrys etc to go anywhere else then you will be charged commercial rates if van is over 5m whereas any van under 5m (swb) is charged car rates. Confused

Likewise, that's a very nice and neat fit-out, like it.

And not on my licence!
