Right so as I keep saying I don't know anything about driving cars and with my Audi having DSG that really doesn't help. As you may be aware I am looking at short/long term car options and was reading up about R300's having issues with gearboxes due to the drivers being bit hard on them.

Got me to reading http://www.hewland.com/svga/advice.html and I think I am currently doing whats described as worst (can see it in vbox too as throttle is measured). Perhaps I need to video myself doing changes...

From that link are people doing it the 'recommended' way?

I need some kind of 'this is how you #racecar night study course' Shocked

I'm sure you have a syncho box, so ignore that as a guide. You'll more than likely damage gears/sychros if you just hammer it through the gears Laughing

If you have a dog engagement gearbox, then 100% yes... fast and decisive is the way to go.... and i'd look at flatshifting options with throttle blippers (Geartronics etc).

Clutchless is great Very Happy Even pre flat-shift Fee's GTR just required a tiny lift of throttle to release the gears, and slide it up a gear Very Happy
