Hi all. Yep, afraid so.
Have previously raced at Knockhill in modified saloons back in 1995.
Old habits die hard though so must give it another go.
Hadn't been around the circuit since, until Flash took us around last year after the Touring cars. Its all his fault!
Hope to do SLS this year.
Mazda RX8 Class F road car.
So... Rotary, back where it belongs!? Wish me luck!

Shetland! Not many users from up that way

We bought our old R32 GTR from a chap called Adam that lived in Shetland (Lerwick)

An RX8 should do OK in F

There are quite a few performance cars on the Island. I'm trying to persuade a few of the owners to put them to good use!
The RX8 will be interesting for sure. Some changes to the rotor oiling system and ignition should hopefully obtain a degree of reliability.
Although, with the car still in a thousand bits and absolutely no chance of any track testing it will more than likely resemble something like a scene from 'Cool Runnings'!
Looking forward to the challenge though

Used to work for Mazda. The RX8 is a crackin car when movin, but an absolute bugger when things go wrong. Especially tryin to get the thing started after the two bottom spark plugs gave up and needed replaced. We always did say that the engine in that should have been renamed by dropping the E and the L at the end of it. 😂😂
