I had reached a tipping point with the yellow Elise in terms of development, I always wanted the Motorsport Elise (Exige) body and wanted more power and a sequential gearbox, a sequantial wanted ad somehow has turned into selling the yellow elise and upgrading to the following, recently built from a bare chassis and has an amazing list of upgrades.
Initial plans are to get plenty seat time, then do SMRC/SLS in 2017, there's very little left to upgrade as such so I expect the thread to be around how we get on with the car rather than further development as such.

I see it has a Tillet B6F. If possible I would love a chance to test fit myself in that sometime. I'm looking at one for the Alfa but it's a fair investment without getting to try first and the nearest place to try is a decent flight away. _________________ Alfa Romeo GT Junior |

Thanks. I just want to see how far off the narrower one is and if I can get away with it. If not then it's the wideboy for me! _________________ Alfa Romeo GT Junior |

I was pleasantly surprised with the seat and space/leg room. The owner was prob just under 6ft so will be a perfect fit for you
Wee things I think that could be improved You havent even seen it yet
Gear Indicator - The dash system has it but its quite small and you need to look for it rather than having it just 'there' in front of you.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
- for N
REVERSE for reverse
but they are quite small. I think a standard big red indicator may be worthwhile. See how you get on though.
Door cards - wee carbon panels bonded in with nice pulls and handles
Demister - The chap mentioned anti-mist screen... but it got pretty damn fogged up getting it off the trailer and into barn. I was wet, and the car was not moving through air so if it does have vents to screen than wouldnt have been doing anything.
Wiring is impressive, cold start is awesome.... gearbox is sweet
COugh..... if you want it tested I'll easy take it down tomorrow rather than mine. _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

I think the fans have been removed, will investigate, also the doorcards, tbh the standard lotus ones are good, tidy it up and incorporate pulls, will probably just fit them and a grommet for the winder hole..
Ref the gear indicator my recollection with a sequential when out on track with on it it was fine, only became an issue if you were trying to find neutral, reverse etc, will see.. you intuitively "know" the gears in an H pattern, and the big red indicators are an eyesore :p
300 laps be fine to bed everything in
Dave,I have a wedding the night of the next TS day so won't make it sadly. _________________ Motorsport Exige Project Thread |

Are you intending to do both LS and SMRC Lowell?
Looking forward to seeing you out with the Exige _________________ Renny

Assuming the work situation is ok then yes smrc with Sls on the side.
Knockhill for the first test yesterday was a wasted day due to fog:
Here's a photo of the business end of the car, access is nice and easy due to the quick release rear section of clam. Still being a lotus space is still tight in there! _________________ Motorsport Exige Project Thread

Did yous leave due to the fog I take it? It eventually cleared up and also dried up. Ended up being a good day, but am sure you dont want to hear that! Was hoping to see this going round aswell. _________________ evo 5 track car |

Yeah, we didn't actually have a place booked so had hoped someone would drop out early, the track opening so late then accidents & the fog rolling back in after lunch we decided to leave and get back up the road as had stuff on in the evening. _________________ Motorsport Exige Project Thread |
