My titanium exhaust wrap has started to disintegrate after last season, any experience of coatings, zircotec seem the best known but there are others, also seems the likes of the BTCC cars have moved on the foil jacket type, as used by F1 and the likes of NASA

Anyone with direct experience of any of these systems?

DEI titanium.... and just re-visit when it degrades.
Had hot sides of turbos coated before and they don’t last for ever (chip etc) _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

used zircotec before. As AK says the finish on flanges etc degrades.
DEI turbo jackets work.
I used an alu rippled heatsheild material from nimbus motorsport previously as well. If you dont mind a bit of fabrication this stuff works wonders too. the fensport celica used it as a turbo blanket/enclosure back in the day too. Looked quite snazzy. |

How much does it normally cost to get a manifold done? Appreciate it will vary hugely, but just for ballpark numbers. |

According to my research you are looking at circa £1200 for the solid type version as linked above, a 4-1 NA manifold. _________________ Motorsport Exige Project Thread |
