Update from me -

First the good news: it's the beginning of week 4 and I'm down to 70.5kg, which is pretty much bang on my original target weight, so I'm happy about that.

The less good news: climbing training has been out of the window for the last 2 weeks, thanks to an injury on my hand which got painfully infected (24 hours away from being brought into hospital with septicemia, apparently Shocked). Which means that the weight will go back up once the muscle starts building again.

So, another week or so of the dietary regime and a decent effort to put in the exercise hours.

End of week 3 update

Start weight : 89.5kg (6th Jan)
Current weight : 87.6kg

Miles cycled : 80.4 miles, 2000ft elevation gained, 4hrs active

Weight is up .3kg but tbh that’s negligible purely down to weight fluctuations on a daily basis, I was ill Monday through a Wednesday and only cycled Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday was a “cheat” day with regards to the diet, so not too bad.

Just downloaded myfitnesspal app to give it a go. Got weighed for the first time going offshore this week and Im up on 97kg, Ive put in the the goal to drop to 90kg by April. Im generally pretty bad at watching what i eat so Im hoping the app will help me with this awareness.

Stepped on the scale last night and it read just below 90kg. Taking into account a 1-2kg fluctuation throughout the day Im happy enough especially since teh double chin has disappeared. Just watching what I eat. Next step is to hit the gym and build a bit of muscle.

I've managed to shift over a stone now through exercising and being much more careful with what I eat. It is genuinely staggering when you start actually monitoring your intake of calories and paying more attention to keeping them in check.

Came back from Miami at christmas and by the time i got new year out the way, I weighed in at 13st 1.3lbs (83.14kg).

Current weight - 11st 8.6lbs (73.75kg)

So pretty much a 10kg weight loss - although granted I was probably a bit heavier than even my normal weight when I got back my holidays.

Body fat percentage has dropped from 24% down to 17.5% as well.

Pretty chuffed to be honest Smile
